MONTANUS lies in the upper part of the village of Malá Morávka in the Hrubý Jeseník mountains. Winter and summer activities start right outside the gate: the Kopřivná ski area is 400 m from the house (about a 5-minute walk), a cross-country ski trail runs right past the house, and the Ski Karlov and Myšák ski areas as well as the spa town of Karlova Studánka are just 5 minutes by car. Karlova Studánka is also a popular starting point for trips to Praděd (1,491 m), the highest mountain in Moravia.
